Boot Camp beta expiry?
I've got a very simple question...
Boot Camp was intended as an extra feature of Leopard. Now when Leopard is out, Boot Camp beta must expire. This will not work in Tiger anymore? Surely this will make many people less content with it, especially gamers

Re: Boot Camp beta expiry?
this is no different than any other major software devleoper, when the offical release is out, the beta expires, and in order to contiune to use the software, you now have to buy it. and as far as i know, once the boot camp beta expires, you have to buy leopard to get a working copy of boot camp. if there is some really odd reason that you don't want to upgrade to leopard (which i recommend to all that have a supported mac) there are 3 other options for running windows apps from the mac os, vmware, crossover mac and parallels. sure, games will not run as well, or at all, but those are your choices.

Re: Boot Camp beta expiry?
Well, you know I use Parallels to have access to Windows, but Boot Camp is a bit better for gaming.
I found a way to make Boot Camp work. But it seems to me it is half-illegal and I'm not using it until I order Leopard.

Re: Boot Camp beta expiry?
well, i just got an email from apple that boot camp beta will quit working at the end of the year, and that the only way to keep using it is to buy and install leopard. so in order to get your mac to boot into windows, getting leopard is the best idea.
