Itunes

I am trying to get itunes to work on my pc but havent been able to get it to start. it just gives me an hourglass and does nothing.

I have tried deleteing my apple folder and reinstalling and i tried installing standalone quicktime. I deleted norton, turned off the firewall and even prayer but nothing has worked yet.

I understand that you are Mac people but I assumed I should post in heare cause iTunes is made by apple and you guys might be more familuar.

also i dont have an ipod... im trying to use iTunes to dock my iPhone

Re: Itunes

well, its a windows problem being you are on windows, and not the mac os. but i'll try to help you, as i'm not to sure of what could hurt itunes in windows, as i have never had any issues. so, what version of itunes are you using? has it worked before, or is the 1st time you tried to install and use it? how much ram do you have, and free hard drive space? are you an admin and logged into the admin account of windows? is the ownership/sharing preferences of the my documents folder set correctly?

Re: Itunes

about 55gig free and he has wmp

but it doesnt make sens for any of the solutions i read so far for any of this stuff to interfere with itunes even starting up. The only thing that made sense was the antivirus and the firewall settings and i already tried everything includeing deleteing and reinstalling them and still no differance

Re: Itunes

well, a firewall should have zero effect on itunes itself, the music store, on the other hand, it may block. have you tried installing itunes with the antivirus off? also, is this a xp or vista pc that you are installing onto?

they are unlockable now so you can just switch your sim card. also a lot of people are selling them unlocked so you dont even have to do it your self(and it doesnt even cost any more.. so id just buy it unlocked if i were you)

they are a bit$$$ though but i honestly think if you can come up with the doe they are worth it
