External Hard Drive help
So today I bought a Mac. Plugged in my External Hard drive and everything was fine. The Drive was found with no problems and I was able to access every file on there.
I then turned it off and went to work. Got home, turned it back on and it said something like "Not readable, Eject, Inquire and ignore" So I plugged it back into my PC and it says "Drive not formatted, would you like to format now''? I have so much on this hard drive I would be devastated if I lost all of it. So what's going on? Corey. |

Re: External Hard Drive help
did you turn off the drive while it was still plugged in? you always want to make sure that you eject the drive before turning it off or unplugging it. but as for right now, i don't know what to tell you. see if there is anyone with software that can recover hard drives.
