Disk partitioning
hi everyone,
i have an external 80gb disk from an old windows computer that's partitioned so that a lot of the disk space is free.... how can i use diskutility on my mac to increase the windows partition so that i have everything (free space included) on a single partition? without losing any of the data... see the attachment if ur confused... thanks for looking! |

you can not adjust partition sizes without reformatting the hard drive using apple's disk utility. on the other hand, i have heard that it is a new option with 10.5, but not having gotten it yet, i can't confirm or deny it. and i'm not sure if there are any apps that you can buy that will partition disks on the fly for macs. I do know that you can with windows vista's disk utility.
