Mac Gaming Help
I have virtual PC 7 on my imac G5 (512mb of RAM) and I got this monopoly game http://www.gamespot.com/pc/puzzle/monopoly/index.html
My 2 friends have the exact same game and they can connect to each other fine. At first they couldn't so one of my friends had to unplug their router and go directly from DSL modem to PC and disable windows firewall to connect, then they could connect. I did the same but the thing is I don't have a real PC I have virtual PC so I'm wondering if that's the problem. The thing is the monpoly game asks you what connection you're using (the choices are TCP/IP ; Modem ; or Serial Connection) I pick TCP/IP then it asks for my friend's IP address, I enter it in then the list that allows me to select the game is completely empty. Like I said my friend had the same problem but unplugged his router and turned off windows firewall, I did the same but the problem continued. Someone please help me, I paid 20 bucks for this game, I don't want to have to buy the mac version because I don't even know if that's compatible with the PC version |

having never used vpc, i'm not sure what you need to do. but heres some ideas from having to deal with things like this with emulators. 1st check to see if there are any settings with vpc7 itself to deal with networking. then make sure that the mac's firewall is set up to allow vpc, and its apps access to the net. i assume that you are trying to do this over the internet. do other apps in vpc get online fine?

I am trying to play games on my apple iMac G3 OS X 10.3. It will not let me. Do you need to buy special games? And also can I install windows XP or Vista on this computer without wiping out the programs that are on there already.
Thank You,

please do not double post.
as for games, you can only play games that say they will work on a mac g3. you said something about itunes, well games that you download fron the itunes store only work on video ipods, not on the computer. lastly, your mac can not run any version of windows natively. and then because its so old, i'm sure if there are any emulators that run on it that will support xp or vista. and if you could, it'd be so slow that it'd be unusable.
