Webcam for Mac(moved from hardware)

I've just learned that Apple is no longer selling isight cameras. I understand that it is possible to use other webcams but this may require downloading drivers. We are looking for a firewire camera or any other camera that can be used with ichat on system OX4.

the main problem here is that as far as i know, apple was really the only one to make a firewire cam, but there are many usb webcams that will work with ichat, with a little help. 1st try to find one that states that it'll work with ichat. if you can't find any, then see what cameras this software will support and get one of them.

Thanks

I have heard about this software before. I understand that one needs to be sure about which models of the various cameras are supported.

isweet

I found this article and went to the site where it can be purchased. Just click on the highlighted isweet. Looks promising.
Is there anyone who is familiar with this firewire camera? It's called isweet and is claimed to be perfect for Mac notebook computers.

You may read this story online at:

well, i've never heard of it, but if macworld liked it, then you are most likely safe getting it.
