I have a dual boot computer - Windows XP and Win98. I will be removing Win98 and installing Linux. I will need some handholding as to the steps to be taken while installing Linux (Mandrake).
How much space does it take, I have a 20GB harddisk. I will be using Linux for the first, is it easy to use. Thanks for the help. |

um.. well the space you need depends on what tou want to do with it... but a safe size is about 10, maybe 15 gigs... but i can't imagine that if you are a newbie that you would need more then 10.

Since the Linux system and the included web browsers run much leaner, and block unwanted popups and images (blocking images requires careful user settings including some trial and error) so well. You can make it seem much faster, especially when limited to a dialup connection.
