boot problems
A while ago I had Win98 and Red Hat Linux 9 on the same HD with the GRUB boot loader.
Then I formatted my drive and ran FDISK, and reinstalled windows. But whenever I boot from the HD it gives me this: GRUB Loading Stage1.5... GRUB Loading please wait Error 17 There arent any Linux partitions on the HD! Whats going on! |

Running XP? You need your Windows disk. Boot from the disk, and go to recovery console. Then at the command line type "fixmbr" (without the parentheses). If that doesn't do it, go back to recovery console, but this time type "fdisk /mbr
I removed GRUB once, and I can't remember which command it was that worked. |
