ubuntu uninstall/dual boot. ...
so..... i managed to partition my hard drive, and then i killed x server. ( have no idea how or why, ) after much anoyance i re installe ubuntu on another partition. now i nead to figure out how to access the files on old partition to save my music and pics ( is all that is there i care about ). then i nead to uninstall it so i can reformat it for a windows dist so i can play my games ....
that being said, i haven't yet figured out how to access anything on the other partitions. still a noob at linux so any help would be very apreciated ... thx |

this is the results, .... i have two partitions, and a bit of free space.

From the looks of things, there are no other partitions, unless your previous install was on /dev/hda3 or you have another hard drive which was used. At the moment, it looks like you re-installed on top of the old install, which pretty much deleted everything.
