USB Problem
When I boot to Linux 9.0 and insert my new USB thumbdrive the system locks up. I can't even get to where I need to configure my driver. Is there a problem with this version of Red Hat Linux 9.0 that I don't know about?

I had to think about this for a moment. I doubt the thumbdrive specifically is any problem. Maybe there's a problem with the way the USB ports are installed/configured. The thumbdrive should mount much the way any drive would mount to the system. Another telltale would be any other USB devices connected to the system, like your printer perhaps. Is the printer USB? and does it function correctly?

Okay, I installed Linux 7.3 and still get the same thing. It's an ASUS board so I updated the BIOS and made sure tht the front USB ports were configured correctly, which they are. I did a test on a laptop that I have 7.3 installed and it works there, just not on this P4 tower.
