noob question
hey.. i have been on l inux for 2 days.. finally got it to work with my gay internet!
anyhow.. now that im online i have a problem i want to update fx.. and i can't. i downloaded the linux update of fx and tried to install.. it says permision denied. I tried on root and i have permission denied! what do i do..? the next issue: i try to install updates it downloads gos to test and freezes any ideas? -blitze |

Could use alot more information.
What version of Linux are you using? I have no idea what FX is? What are the persmissionson the file you are trying to execute? |

If I remember correctly, FC3 lets you right-click to get a Terminal window?
If not, it should be in Applications/Accessories, I think... Open terminal, then: Type "su" (hit enter). Put in your root password that you picked during the install. Type "yum update firefox" (hit enter). Say yes to any dependencies/keys it wants to get. That should update to whatever happens to in the stable FC3 repository. |
