How to install the internal modem in Linux RedHat Ent. 4 ver
Hi,
I have linux Redhat Ent.4 ver Now I want install the internal PCI Modem in Linux,and my modem name is SoftV92 DataFax Modem So please help me how i can install modem and how to configure the Dialup connection in linux. Regards, |

What you appear to have is a "software"modem. Meaning it's a bare-bones modem and what it lacks in hardware to make a modem is made up for in sofware. The data you indicated is too generic for much detail here. You may need to look at the hardware detected in your bios to get the needed description of your modem hardware. Even having the interrupt number and DMA can be helpful in configuration. Take a look here for some helpful information and resources.
