Booting Fedora
Ok I have downloaded Fedora from the Official Fedora website, I extracted the ISO images using winRAR and then burned them to CD's using Nero.
But I can't get the CD's to boot, my BIOS (Pheonix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG) doesn't give me the option to select a media to boot from, but as it boots it checks my 2 drives (DVD-ROM and DVD R/RW). I know it works because the recovery disk that came with my PC boots fine and I can also use floppy disks to boot with. My question is, is there a specific type of software I need to use to burn bootable CD's from ISO Images? Or is there some sort of configuration I can do? Or can I install Fedora from Windows? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Daniel. |

You most likely burned the iso wrong. You shouldn't have extracted anything. You open Nero, and chose burn a disk image, then go from there.
