non-linear video editing + linux

I'm looking for video editting software. I'm working (actually volunteer) for a small non-profit org. They have a project to produce a short documentary. They have people who know how to shoot and edit video (all volunteer) but they don't have much money. So I'm looking for linux solutions for them.

Searching on google shows quite a few programs. Cinelerra looks good, but I want to know if anybody here is using it? I would welcome any other suggestion for other programs too.

I've Used It, But Not Much, There Is A LiveCD Out there that has a bunch of multimedia editing software, it's called dyne:bolic linux, here's the link, check it out ... http://www.dynebolic.org/

This is cool. It can even run on xbox. All I have to do is convince them xbox is best for video editting :-)
