It's free, but they usually charge if you want them to send you a cd, or if you want a manual. (They have to make money somehow) But you can download for free. You're gonna want to download what's called an install .iso. It's a cd image, and you can use most burning programs to burn it, then you boot from that cd, and it's self explanitory from there. Post back if you need it broken down more.
