Putting linux on a power mac G3 233mhz

I came across one this weekend and I would like to put linux on it. I tried Yellow dog and KnoppixPPC but none of them boot. The OS9 and 10 disks boot fine but if I hold C like it says It just restarts for the linux disks.

You will need to use BootX for Old World Macs like the beige PowerMac G3s. The install guide at the YDL site can help you set up BootX.
