unknown bootlog error: changing permissions of 'dev/xconsole';read only file system
After a backup using Norton Ghost I've encountered this error:
Init Entering Run Level: 5 Starting systemlog daemon: syslogdchmod: changing permissions of '/dev/xconsole';Read only file system ... at which time the load stops. After the backup of dual booot system using all the Mepis defaults, I reinstalled Grub, which i understoon may be necessary after a dual boot backup. That did not help. As the bootlog progressed I noted that the drive might be being identified as hdc. The drive is on Primary slave-- hdb2 |
