Red Hat Linux 9 partition problem
I am trying to install Red Hat Linux 9 on a computer that has windows 98. This means I have to create the partitions manually. When I try to create the swap partition, the problem occurs. There is no "swap" in the mount point drop down list, so I typed in "/swap". Then when I tried to go on the the next step, it said I had not created a swap partition.
Any idea what I should do to correct this problem? |

Swap partitions are mounted in a different way. You do not need to specify a mount point for them. Just make sure you create the swap partition and Linux will handle the rest. All you need to do is create 2 partitions, 1 is your regular partition, and the other is a swap. When specifying the type of partition, just choose "swap".
