Linux Help
I just installed the free downloadable Linux from Redhat (Fedora Core) and I'm entirely new to it. Since I'm going into the IT field, I would like to have experience in it - in other words, I'm a newbie with Linux, so really dumb down the help so I can get it.
So I installed it on my PC. I cannot get my Netgear Wireless PCI card functioning in Linux. The model is WG311. On the internet I've looked (I'm on my notebook now, Linux was installed on my Desktop PC) and I can't find anything to aid me. Can someone please tell me what to do in easy steps, so I can get on the internet with Linux. Thanks. Drew |

A quick search tells me that you should install madwifi from http://madwifi.sourceforge.net/. I've also seen mention of using Prisim54's Prisim GT driver from http://www.prism54.org. This might also be of help, but is more on the technical side: http://www.linux-wireless.org/Wirele...Gear.WG311.txt. There are other files located on this site, use this link to see them: http://www.linux-wireless.org/Wirele...NetGear.WG311/.
