Hello,

I posted this tread several months ago, and someone helped me and i managed to make it work, but now i can't... I installed PCLinuxOS on drive C:, and my Windows XP is on Drive K:, and now i can't boot XP, how to make it work?

This is my MBR boot file:

timeout 15
color black/cyan yellow/cyan
gfxmenu (hd0,0)/boot/gfxmenu
default 0

title linux
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=linux root=UUID=c5671d95-7d93-4985-a74f-127d16198b14 acpi=on splash=silent vga=788
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd.img

title linux-nonfb
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=linux-nonfb root=UUID=c5671d95-7d93-4985-a74f-127d16198b14 acpi=on
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd.img

title failsafe
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz BOOT_IMAGE=failsafe root=UUID=c5671d95-7d93-4985-a74f-127d16198b14 failsafe acpi=on
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd.img

And this is what i get when i type this sudo fdisk -l in the Terminal:

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 1570 12610993+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 1571 14945 107434687+ f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5 1571 1697 1020096 82 Linux swap / Solaris

Re: Booting XP after Instaling linux???

Hi,

It was this thread that you were having issues with. From that thread, I would recommend that you to add the following to the end of the document.
Code:
title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,5)
makeactive
chainloader +1
See if that works for you. I haven't done a lot with fdisk in a few months but I believe that I have it correct.

Cheers!
