OS: Ubuntu 9.04

can't login to Ubuntu
I just upgraded my Ubuntu 8.10 to version 9.04 yesterday, and when I restart the computer, the log in window ask me to give usernane and password. And it won't accept the username & password I create for my computer, while upgrading, not a single word ask me to give username and or password. I can't open my computer now, while I have many job to do. What should I do now... Please help me...

Hi,
Welcome to TSF!! Let me ask you how you did the upgrade? Was it by installation with a new livecd and fresh install or was it with the install feature in the distro itself? I am concerned about it not asking you for any authentication for this, too. Cheers!
