Re: ubuntu 9.04 or fedora 11?

Hi,

I would recommend that you try fedora as it is a lot more secure. Ubuntu allows people to install and change anything that they want simply with a user password. In fedora you need to have the root password to install software or change major setting.

I also like fedora because of the huge community that it has and the expanse of the projects that they have running see the wiki for more information on that.

Don't think that I have issues with Ubuntu. I have run it on my laptop for about 6 months now but it is getting to easy to do things and security is a big factor with some of the connections to servers that I make. I feel that ubuntu is a good learning platform but that Fedora is set up from ubuntu.

Cheers!
