Using totem-xine

How can I enable totem-xine to be used by default? I've tried all kinds of combinations of totem-backend -b xine, but the commands don't exist. Even after uninstalling the totem-gstreamer package, totem still reports that I am using Gstreamer in the 'About' section. I have totem-xine installed, using the latest Karmic release, x64. I need to use Xine to enable support for the Medibuntu codecs that I have installed under Movie Player.

Actually, if there is any way to enable Medibuntu codec support under Gstreamer, I won't need Xine. So I guess there are two solutions to this issue, neither of which I know how to accomplish.

Re: Using totem-xine

Hi,

Without going into a lot of detail and telling you a lot of repeat stuff I would recommend that you have a look at Movies, DVDs, Videos it will help you out a lot.

Cheers!
