linux on external hard drive
i have a 500gb external hard drive which i want to partition and put linuxon.
i have a laptop on vista premium and a computer on xp pro (both capable of booting from usb) so technically i should be able to but i was just wondering about things like the os bootloader... since its booting from a completely different source will it just load straight away or will it still for some reason create a bootloader screen. also will i have problems with hardware drivers and compatabillity for linux? fairly amateur at this sort of stuff, and i have never actually used linux before, i just want to give it a go thanks, all help appreciated |
