counter strike source no windows

Hi,

I downloaded a copy of the crossover games a while back when they had the freebie day and it installed fine on my laptop which is running ubuntu 8.04 (hardy heron).

Steam was one of the programs that was on the list supported and so I chose that as I thought it would be good to get back into it. That downloaded and installed fine.

I have a Steam account and own the Half Life 2 disc, although at the moment it is misplaced. But as I've already bought it and I can log onto Steam, I could just download it again.

My problem is after I have clicked on teh Steam icon, typed in in my login details and the little box saying it is connecting to Steam. That is all fine, but afterwards, no windows appear.

I can see the Steam bars on my desktop and the little boxes in the workspace boxes next to my bin and when i click on the Steam bars, the windows appear in the workspace but no actual windows on my screen.

Re: counter strike source no windows

Hi,

Welcome to TSF!!

I don't actually know that much about crossover, or WINE, I know what they do but I don't really know the inerds of them. I might recommend checking out google for help or the crossover for help with that.

Cheers!
