My os does not load! :(
Hey guys, this me writing from my desktop computer.
My recently F**KED up my laptop, I had installed ubuntu on a vista machine. (I decided to dual boot, vista installed first) The installation went all fine, until restart, the laptop didn't let me choose my boot OS, it directly booted into vista. So to change things, I did some research then found a software called "easyBCD". I had started playing around with it, to find the best options. This is where I F**KED it all up, I did something wrong and when I restarted the machine, it came up with 2 boot options: 1) Neogrub Bootloader - When I pick this option, it tells me to repair windows with the installation CD (THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME BECAUSE VISTA WAS PREINSTALLED, AND DIDN'T COME WITH A CD). 2) Linux Ubuntu - When I pick this option, it tells me that I have told the bootloader the wrong partition for my Linux OS. I DO NOT HAVE AN OPTION TO LOAD VISTA, WHY?! ![]() PLEASE HELP

Re: My os does not load! :(
Hey again,
My laptop was preinstalled vista so it didn't come with any recovery cd's I am not so sure about the recovery partition though, while preparing partitions to install ubuntu, I did see an extra partition which was not accessible through vista earlier, but its only about 1.3Gb in size. I CAN log on to ubuntu through the installation disk, is there any way I can tweak vista files through ubuntu? (I have access to my vista partition through ubuntu) |
