Re: linux to windows XP
Hi,
I would make sure that you have the correct drivers for you NIC. What is the brand of your PC, is it Dell, HP, etc? You can go to their website and then download the correct drivers XP and then install it and you should be able to get up and running. Don't worry I have had this problem in the past and totally forgot how to fix it. Cheers!

Re: linux to windows XP
Hi,
Ok thanks for the information. I would like to know what model your dell is. it would be something like inpiron, or something like that. It would probably say on the front of the desktop. I will try and get the drivers for you once I know the model number. Cheers!

Re: linux to windows XP
Ok,
So how are you un-installing linux? This might have something to it, but usually you just write over the files when you install windows or whatever the os is. I have a couple ideas if that doesn't work, but I want to know more about un-installing linux first. Cheers

Re: linux to windows XP
Hi,
When you go to install windows, you get to a screen that allows you to choose where you want to install windows. You will want to delete all partitions and then create a new one, if all you want to have on your computer is XP. From there you will be able to create a new one for XP and only XP. That will be the C:\ drive. From there you should be able to install and get XP running without any problem. I hope that this makes sense to you. If you need me to clarify anything just let me know. Cheers!

Re: linux to windows XP
I don't want you to have to do that. Let me send a message to a couple of the windows folks and see what we can do for you. I probably wont do it till later on in the afternoon my time as it is close to 1am here.
Cheers!
