WiFi Driver installation[Help Needed]
hi guys , im a newbie user in linux and im using the kubuntu 9.04
im currently Using the TP-Link USB WiFi adaptor -Model: TL-WN821N and i need to install this driver to be able to have it work on my Kubuntu Driver Version : ar9170 any idea how do i install the driver ...pls giv me a guide as this is my first time... THX |

Hi,
Does the USB adaptor have linux driver files that can be used, or does it just have windows drivers. If you only have windows drivers then you can install a program called ndiswrapper. You can find this in the Synaptic Package Manager. If you have linux drivers then I can help you install them it shouldn't be too hard. Cheers!

i was given this site http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Dr...Drivers/ar9170 by some1 saying that my usb wifi needs this driver...how do i get it n how do i install it ...

try this page .. the other one doesn't get to the drivers .. it brings up a page that needs to be created.
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Do...reless_drivers if there is a driver here somewhere for your card, it should be here. did another search you'll find it here http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ar9170 ubuntu and kubuntu sjhould use the same driver Looks like Atheros chipset
