Linux back to XP

Hi,
I installed Linux and now want to g o back to Windows. I tried to re-format my haed drive but it doesn't recognize the command. Any help would be appreciated.

You have Linux, and you want to re-install your windows O/S? Would you at least allow us a chance to change your mind? Are there some specific issues you have tried to work out unsuccessfully, that are the basis for your decision? And would you change your mind if these issues were resolved? You stand a chance here to learn more about computers and software than the average user.

If you feel you must go back to windows, I'll try my best to help. But would you please give a reason to.

Did you install linux to dual boot with Windows or did you format your hard drive so that only Linux is on there?
