Re: onnection

I know how to connect 4 monitors together on one computer, and I know how to connect computers with a KVM switch but I don't know how to do what you are asking. If you could give us more information that would be great.

Cheers!

Re: onnection

A KVM switch is the best hardware solution but you also create several remote desktop sessions or use VNC. For a permanent fix, go with a KVM switch.

Re: onnection

The monitors would be possible (I believe) as long as you have enough ports to connect them. I know they have cards with 4 outs, but higher than that; not sure. Multiple cards would be required. For actual use, you would need major tweaking to both xorg.conf and the desktop you're using. Would be easier to run each workspace on a seperate monitor but, if you're looking for multiple xsessions, you'd want plenty of CPU power.

Keyboards... that could be a problem. Hooking up two keyboards causes conflict so 10 would be quite a few conflicts to work out. Not sure if that's possible on a single pc.

Re: onnection

Again, you'll need a KVM switch (hardware) or virtual machines. Virtualbox from sun let you run several OS's at once, VNC lets you copy between sessions.
