\disk Directory
When I tried to copy the "ubuntu" folder from one drive to another it said "Can not copy specified file. The file is either corrupt or nnot accessible." I checked wich file it was and I found that it was the \disk directory. I don't want to redownload the entire intallation, I just want the directory. Is there a way to get just the \disk directory?

Re: \disk Directory
I'm just dragging the folder from my E: drive to my C: drive. It tells me that the folder is corrupt and inaccessible. I have all the other files I need besides that folder. I've tried to copy it and then paste but it tells me the same thing. It's for Linux Ubuntu 8.10.

Re: \disk Directory
By default, Windows can't access a Linux partition (filesystem ext2, ext3, etc...), you'll need a third party driver for that. This might help. I don't use Windows so I can't be of much help there.
The linux directory you would want is root or / (a single forward slash which is 'root'), but if you shouldn't need to copy your install or even reinstall just to solve the boot problem. If, that's the only reason you're trying to copy it now.
