Re: Ubuntu 8.10 error
This error comes up:
Could not initialize the package information An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information. Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message: 'E:Type '--2009-04-05' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.' |

Re: Ubuntu 8.10 error
You can check Ubuntu's bug report and see if it's been filed, otherwise file a new bug.
You should only need to remove line 1 from /winehq.list, the '--2009-04-05'. Code:
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
