My System

[SOLVED] Harddrive full, deleted file not in trash.

I set up a backup system, in which some files are automatically backed-up to a Linux server, it all worked ok, however, I mis-configured it to back up files that were not needed and were to large to fit on the Linux drive. however, the backup program stuffed as much as it could onto the drive until 0MBs was left. I deleted the folder, then went to the trash to delete it, and it was not there. Now I can't find the folder of files that needs to be deleted, and the only way I can log in is via the fialsafe terminal. What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks!

Re: Harddrive full, deleted file not in trash.

Ok, I finally got it! here's what I did:

Open the failsafe console, and type the following commands:
cd ~/.local/share/Trash/files
sudo rm -Rf *
cd ~/.local/share/Trash/info
sudo rm -Rf *

(Made sure you do the 'cd' commands first ;))
