Re: remote tool
Hi,
Welcome to TSF!! Can you give us some more details. Primarily linux doesn't get viruses, so I am curious as to what virus you think that you have and if you have any ideas as to how you got it? Also, if you could tell us what programs you have on you box for AV. Cheers!

Re: remote tool
you can use Clam Antivirus
you'll have to use the terminal and log in you'll need to change the directory you are in to the /media or the /mnt folder then change again to the folder of the drive you want to check out. There is a command that alows you to recursively check directories & you can use a command that only gives a response if a problem is found This is quite handy for checking out non-Linux installs for problems .. however a proper scan requires a lot of prep work on your part, if you want to do the job properly. Clam av will not CURE or HEAL your files .. it will highlight any problems it finds and you will be expected to delete those files .. it won't do anything for you I have done it a few times checking out my own PC for possible marauders and it works .. however you must remember that should you delete a file that you require when booting into another OS .. you will need to make a repair install before you can boot it again ..
