Soulseek on linux
Hi, my sister just got an acer aspire one with linux os on it.
I have never used linux and neither has she and she asked me to put soulseek on it for her to download music. I looked into it last night and found programs like nicotine ans psysoulseek but as i have only ever used windows, i dont have a clue what to do with all of the different .tar files that you have to install. I was at it for nearly 3 hours last night downloading this and that and then extracting the files from each but nothing happened. Can anyone please help??? I also installed WINE as i thought it would let me install the soulseek.exe as a normal windows os would . It installed and opened but i couldn't connect and nothing seemed to work. Is there maybe an alternative to soulseek that she can use? She had limewire previously but i warned her off it due to the amount of viruses etc on there. |
