Terminal service on cent os 4
Hi,
am looking at migrating my digital library network from windows to linux and i intend to use cent os.i also want to deploy terminal service on the cent os so that i could use thin client technology where all application would have to run off the terminal server. How do i go about setting this up using cent os? and also we have a prototype timer application that enables registered members to gain access to the network.members data are stored in a database server(microsoft sql 2000 server).ordinaryly, on a fat client model, the timer application is installs on each client system and starts up upon system boot. Now with what am planning, all applications will be on the terminal serrvice server including the timer application. now the network has 120 systems. my question now is that when the thin clients boots and displays the terminal server desktop, the timer login interface certainly will be displayed on the display unit of the thin client.now when a user sits on system1 and logs into the network from the the timer login interface and user2 sits on system2 to log on will the timer login interface still be availiable for user2 to login in with? And how to i accomplish this using cent os with minimal troubles? Thanks |
