Problem setting up Fedora DS

Hi,

I am having a problem setting up my DS server. I am just setting this up so that I can learn about it and figure out how everything works. So it isn't like I need it fixed for my business. That being said, I went all the way through the setup guide and then I got to the end and was given an error message that said:

Fatal Error: Could not create directory server instance 'fedora'.
Fatal Error: Exiting ...

Here is what the log file said that it gave too if you need it:

Any help would be great.

The log errors are indicative that you don't have the privileges to install/create those directories. Are you running the install as "root"?

Either run do a "su" or "sudo" to do the install. (Your query didn't say anything about the install user).

Hi,

Yes I was running as root when I did this. I can try to do it again if that would help.
