Hi,

I am also struggling with what seems like the same problem as you.

But I am struggling to work out how to achive the update of libxcb ? Can you remember how you did this ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to achive the update of libxcb

Welcome to TSF!!

Hi,

As you will read when you check your pms I moved your thread. The reason that I did that is two fold:

First: While most people think that they have the same or virtually the same problem as another poster, it ends up being a similar problem with a whole different set of variables.

Second: The thread that you posted on was already solved. That might have confused some of the users, as they would wonder why people were posting on an already solved problem.

Now, I will help you with your problem. I just wanted to get that out of the way first. First I would like to know what distro you are using? I would guess that it is Linpus Lite, but you didn't specify so I don't want to send you down the wrong path. Also, can you tell use all of the steps that you have tired already so that we don't have you going in circles.

Cheers!

Re: How to achive the update of libxcb

Hi,

Thanks very much for the attentive moderation.

Infact I managed to solve this myself.

The Aspire One Linpus seems to ship with a buggy libxcb. I was not able to update by a simple "yum update" but instead needed to find the right package myself.

So on rpmfind.net I search for a more recent libxcb for fedora 8 and used that to update the Aspire. The package I used (successfully!) was here:-

http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/fedora....fc8.i386.html

Now my citrix client is working fine.

Hi,

Glad that you were able to fix the problem yourself. The next time that you return if you could mark your thread solved, by going to the Thread Tool -> Mark as Solved.

Cheers!
