When i installed the HPLIP 2.8.12 for my local printer HP Deskjet D4260
i receive the following AVC denied message SELinux is preventing /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp (cupsd_t) "read" access to 001 (usb_device_t). SELinux is preventing /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp (cupsd_t) "read write" access to 004 (usb_device_t). Detailed Description SELinux denied access requested by /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp. It is not expected that this access is required by /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it to require additional access. Please file a bug report against this package. Allowing Access Sometimes labeling problems can cause SELinux denials. You could try to restore the default system file context for 001, restorecon -v 001. There is currently no automatic way to allow this access. Instead, you can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ - or you can disable SELinux protection entirely for the application. Disabling SELinux protection is not recommended. Please file a bug report against this package. Changing the "cupsd_disable_trans" boolean to true will disable SELinux protection this application: "setsebool -P cupsd_disable_trans=1. "The following command will allow this access:setsebool -P cupsd_disable_trans=1 i execute the previous command setsebool -P cupsd_disable_trans=1 in order to disable SELinux protection to this application but i couldn't print ... Also i change the SELinux mode from enforcing to permissive but i still couldn't print... do you have any idea why i cannot print???
