WAP in Linux Mint not working
Hi
I have a ACER ASPIRE 4315 Notebook with Linux Mint OS and a DLINK 604 Wireless router. My wireless connection worked perfect till yesterday. I had WAP PSK STRING SECURITY now all of a sudden I can't get a wireless connection with the WAP. If I disable it I can connect with NO security. I have re-configure the router and Linux Mint Wireless connections but no go. Can someone please help. Thanks |

I have gone through the settings on both the OS (Elyssa) and the router (D-Link G604T) and re-configure it to make sure I did not make a typo somewhere but no go. I'm not to sure how to set up the wireless WPA connection in Elyssa though. When I go to network settings and click on the wireless connections properties it brings up wlan0 for Security then I do the WPA PERSONAL settings but do I click the Automatic Configuration(DHCP) option? Also when I click the enable roaming button all that detail I just completed disappears. So if someone can give me advice on how to setup WPA in Elyssa will be appreciated . Thanks

Hi
I have gone through that link but it's to technical for me. I'm not sure what is wrong with my setup. It seems to be something in iwlist scanan and lshw -C network BUT with my knowledge of Linux I can't work out where my setup is wrong and what I need to add. So please help me on that. I can copy and paste my details with those two commands so someone that know what it should be can have a look at it. Thanks |
