Hi

I have a ACER ASPIRE 4315 Notebook with Linux Mint OS and a DLINK 604 Wireless router. My wireless connection worked perfect till yesterday. I had WAP PSK STRING SECURITY now all of a sudden I can't get a wireless connection with the WAP. If I disable it I can connect with NO security. I have re-configure the router and Linux Mint Wireless connections but no go.

Can someone please help.

What do you mean by this. It just doesn't make sense to me. If you could explain it a little more that would be great.

I have gone through the settings on both the OS (Elyssa) and the router (D-Link G604T) and re-configure it to make sure I did not make a typo somewhere but no go. I'm not to sure how to set up the wireless WPA connection in Elyssa though. When I go to network settings and click on the wireless connections properties it brings up wlan0 for Security then I do the WPA PERSONAL settings but do I click the Automatic Configuration(DHCP) option? Also when I click the enable roaming button all that detail I just completed disappears. So if someone can give me advice on how to setup WPA in Elyssa will be appreciated . Thanks

Hi

I have gone through that link but it's to technical for me. I'm not sure what is wrong with my setup. It seems to be something in iwlist scanan and lshw -C network BUT with my knowledge of Linux I can't work out where my setup is wrong and what I need to add. So please help me on that. I can copy and paste my details with those two commands so someone that know what it should be can have a look at it.
