Help Me!!!

I'm Transforming A Junk PC Into A Web Server. The OS I'm Using Is (D word) Small Linux. I Need To Know How To Put These Applications On The System:
Apache 2.2
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5

No-IP (If Possible. You Get It At no-ip.com)
LogMeIn (If Possible. Get This At logmein.com)

Any Help Is Appreciated!

Re: Help Me!!!

Hi,

Ok so you are using Damn Small Linux. It is fine to say it because it is in a name, or you can call it DSL, and we know what it is. Here is something for you to think about, what are the specs of this junk computer, because if you are just looking to run a web server you might want to get something a little bigger like Xubuntu. I don't know what else you are going to want to run on the computer, but if that is all then there are a lot of other options too.

Cheers!

Re: Help Me!!!

Hi,

I am confused? What is it that you want to install? If you are talking about windows 2000 then just use the disk. But other than that you need to be more specific.

Cheers!

Re: Help Me!!!

Hi,

Well you need to get an ISO from Xubuntu. Then you need to make another Livecd. After that you need to install it like you did with Ubuntu. Once that is done we can move on from there and install the programs that you need.

Cheers!

Re: Help Me!!!

Hi,

Well I would recommend that you make another Livecd. This time I want you to choose the slowest burning speed you have. Like 2x or 4x. This should fix your problem.

Cheers!
