Networking question

I'm trying to connect an Agenda VR3 PDA to my linux box. I am connected to COM1 via the sync cable, and am able to ppp, start telnet, and move files around within the PDA (with rsync). However, I can not copy files to or from the PC.

Somewhere along the line I am missing something. I think it has to do with permissions on the host PC, or the ppp setup. I have no other network connections setup on this machine.

Any ideas? Anyone else using this type of PDA?

Re: Networking question

Hi george,

I am wondering if you have a ssh server running on your linux box. If you do you might be able to ssh to your box and then use the ssh protocol to send files back and forth. Here is the commands used to do it in terminal:
Code:
scp file-to-send user@host:/path/to/place/file
You can look at this site for help too. Transferring files with ssh

Cheers!
