Wireless Connection on Fedora 9.0

Hi all,

I am using Fedora 9.0 version on 5 systems. I have already a wireless internet connection. I just want to get a wireless internet connectivity to this fedora users.I have tried couple of PCI wireless card, but none of them are working in fedora.

can anyone suggest for a PCI wireless card that supports on fedora? or by any other method i can get internet connection from my other wireless network?

The trick to wireless is generally finding a chipset that has a good in-kernel driver. If you can find wireless cards that use an Atheros chipset, I've always heard those are some of the best under Linux.

If you still have wireless cards in those machines, posting the output from the following commands may help

Code:

ifconfig -a

uname -r

lsmod

lspci

Some of those commands may not be in the regular user's path. If they're not, an easy way to get around that is to get root priviledges with either su - (with dash) or sudo. Another way is to use the full path, which you can find with whereis command.
