Re: Download help

Welcome to TSF!!

Now that you have the .iso file on your computer you need to burn it to a cd. To do this you need to have a cdburner that will burn ISO files, not all burners will do that. If you aren't sure if your burner does that, which is fine, I would recommend that you download CDburnerXP. This is a free burner that is similar to Nero and others that you have to pay for.
After you download and install CDburnerXP, you will just need to start the program and choose Data disk. Then you will find the file in their explorer window and then burn the cd. I would recommend that you choose a slower speed then maximum. I would choose something like 8x or 16x(at the most).
  • Install CDburnerXp
  • Start the program and choose Data Disk.
  • Use the programs explorer to find the ISO file
  • Choose a slower speed like 8x or 16x

Let us know if you are having any problems with this.
Cheers!

Re: Download help

I'm wondering if the OP isn't talking about a Linux program he downloaded. Unlike Windows, you cannot just download an .exe file, double click on it and install it. We would need to know what kind of file it is first.
