what operating system is best for clusters?
I have a few extra computers laying around and I want to make them into a cluster. I have been looking around for cluster operating systems but all the linux ones (that i have found so far) seem to be discontinued. It needs to be free and not require bootable network adapters. It also needs to also lean towards performance over reliability. What os do you recommend?

Re: what operating system is best for clusters?
Hi,
Sorry it has take us soo long to get to your question. I did a little google searching and came up with a couple of things. Take a look at these two websites. They seem to have some good information on them: IEEE Task Force on Clusters, and Distrowatch. Cheers!
