Shrinking Partitions
If I try to shrink my XP partition to make room for Linux, could the shrink cause data loss or will it refuse to shrink further than the last bit of data on the disk?

Re: Shrinking Partitions
You shouldn't be able to shrink your partition any smaller then all the room that is already taken up. If that makes any sense. When you partition your hdd, if you know what you are doing then you can create the linux ext2/3 and swap partitions. However, if you aren't familiar with them then I would wait for the default installer to do it.
Cheers!
