I have a computer lab with 30 new dell computers. They came with Vista on them but I am wanting to install Ubuntu 8.04.1 (current version) along with certain applications that each computer will need. So onto my question...
If I were to set up one of the computers exactly how I wanted it, with the added programs and plug-ins, etc; can I somehow make an image of the computer and install it onto the other 29 computers. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!! |

Re: Image a Linux Computer?? Please help!
I don't know if that is possible if It where me I would burn 30 disks and run them all at the same time if possible. It would be a little hectic but would not be hard to set up

Re: Image a Linux Computer?? Please help!
Redhat use to have something called Kickstart. You could tailor a system for your machines and then mass produce them. Under Redhat it was call ksconfig to start the configurator.
I'm sure Ubuntu has something similar. |
