Help!!! Linux Newbie
OK I got Linux Suse 11 after hearing alot of good things and using it a small bit in college I have a general idea of using the command line and am reading up on it right now, but I think i may have thrown myself in at the deepend.
Everything I know about computers is self taught through trial and error but I think the error part may be rather large this time .When I was installing Suse I encountered a few problems the first two times(unfortunatly I can't say exatly what these errors are) and in trying to solve it I "may" have deleted windows off my computer all toghether. So basically how do I know if it's gone and if not how can I get back in or wilI have to re-install windows (will have to scour the attic if so). Thanks in advance. |

Re: Help!!! Linux Newbie
Welcome to TSF!!!
Here is the easiest way that I know of to see if you haved deleted windows. When your computer boots up and you get to a screen that asks you which OS you want to boot into, if you don't have an option for Windows then chances are pretty high that you deleted it. However, if you have an option to boot into windows then try highlighting it and hitting enter. Then see if it starts up for you. If you hit enter and then it says that it is missing any files then you have deleted all or part of it. So you will have to reinstall windows. Cheers!
