grub still there after format

I had ubuntu linux running on my box, and then formatted and put windows vista on....

No biggy but grub is still there in the MBR i think.... i get some grub info on boot, then vista boots.....

No big problem really, i'd just like to get rid of it... sorta winds me up

Is there anyway i can restore the MBR without any risk of killing my partions ?

try easybcd to fix your boot.

had a look at that, tells me there is only 1 bootloader (vista) and doesn't give me any options to play with it. Am i doing something wrong ?
