Re: vmware install

I run the free version of VMware 1.0.5 from Fedora Core 9. Works fine. So read the install info. You will have to become superuser for the install. There is a site in one of the small eastern European counties that has patches for VMware. The reason the patches need to be applied is that the Linux kernel is a moving target, and a kernel developer will change an interface and then nothing works!
The last update I installed was "vmware-any-any-update117". Do a google search on "any-any" and you will find it.

Once you install VMware, go and download the Minix OS and install and compile this little Unix system.
